Spacious rooms with comfy beds, large bathroom and separate toilet. Exceptionally quiet at night. Staff incredibly friendly and helpful. Delicious take-away breakfast for early starts. Set menu dinner with tasty game dishes. Great views of wildlife from restaurant and swimming pool. Game drives available in private area. Adjacent town is pleasant. Homely atmosphere and welcoming staff. A perfect base for exploring the northern region. Beautiful location to relax and unwind. Amazing manager and lovely food. Kids loved watching the porcupines being fed. An excellent end to our holiday.

We had an amazing romantic escape at this lodge. The location was perfect, nestled in the heart of nature with stunning views all around. The staff were friendly and helpful, making us feel right at home. The lodge offered a wide range of activities, including game drives and a private pool, which we thoroughly enjoyed. The rooms were well-equipped and comfortable, providing everything we needed for a relaxing and enjoyable stay.
While our overall experience was fantastic, we did find that some of the meals were a bit on the heavy side, with limited options for fresh fruits and vegetables. Additionally, we found the pricing for some of the activities to be a bit steep.

We had an amazing experience exploring the beautiful Namibian countryside during our walking tour near Sophienhof. The untouched landscapes were stunning, with breathtaking limestone mountains and valleys stretching as far as the eye could see. We were in awe of the diverse wildlife we encountered, from graceful klipspringers to elusive Damara dik-diks. It was a truly remarkable and memorable adventure, offering us a chance to connect with nature and create lasting family memories.
For dads, it would be great to have some more kid-friendly activities available, such as a dedicated play area or organized children's events.

We had a fantastic stay at this lodge. The manager, Elouise, was brilliant in her communication with us before and during our stay. The room was spacious and had a kitchen area, and the outdoor space was great. The evening meal was freshly prepared and deliciously cooked and presented by the cook. We even had the opportunity to feed the porcupines and go on a drive around the reserve to feed the ostriches and cheetahs. The location of the lodge was very convenient, near a popular national park, in a lovely area. The hotel was impeccably kept and the staff were friendly and helpful.
Couldn't fault anything.

I was amazed by the incredible wildlife and bird watching opportunities in Namibia. The lodge had a great bar and restaurant with delicious meals. Free WiFi was a plus, and I enjoyed relaxing by the outdoor pool. Packed lunches were convenient and I even rented a mountain bike for some adventure.
The lack of pink unicorns roaming freely on the property.

Our stay at Sophienhof Lodge was truly worth every penny. The value we got for our money was exceptional, especially considering the unique experience of staying in the VIP house with its stunning views and relaxing ambiance. The location was perfect, being conveniently close to Etosha National Park and offering the opportunity to enjoy walks in the beautiful surroundings. The staff treated us with utmost kindness, friendliness, and helpfulness, making our stay even more enjoyable. A special shoutout to Nico, our driver, who went above and beyond to provide informative and entertaining drives.
Breakfast delights could have been improved with a larger variety of options.
